Staying Positive

I Haven't had a very good start of Year, but I trying to keep positive all the time, and keep my time busy busy so I can't be sad or depressed. So most of my free time I'll spending with my daughter, getting new ideas for my home, or we go to the museum a couple of times. This time the museum its exhibiting two paintings of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. Unfortunately the museum didn't let me taking any pictures for security reasons. But I took this cute picture of my daughter in front of a huge sculpture: I also was the lucky winner from FLORLARIOS blog giveaway, its really Beautiful, Thank You so much flor, I love it so much, isn't beautiful???.
Last night I was so bored searching for a black pair of flats shoes on the web, I have always had a problem finding shoes in my size locally. I'm a size 11, I know I know, its a huge size, but I'm tall and probably its normal....I guess???, well anyways, searching for my huge shoes I found this pair that make my laugh like crazy, I don't think anyone can be able to walk with this things on, make a look and tell if you can be brave to wearing this pair.

I just imagine myself running to let my daughter at school in the morning, probably she'll would be late, and I'll would be biting the dust in the floor ha ha ha and they are on sale for sure, its not a joke. Well see you soon and I let you with a few pieces of my latest work. Have a great week.

MUD CAKES AND SCORPIONS!!

Hello everyone, I hope everybody its having a great summer. I been having a lot of fun with my little one, we find new things to play everyday. She is now doing things that in other time I wouldn't let her, and even my dog (Mushu) is doing whatever he wants

The weather here its still so hot, we had some rain a couple of days, but nothing longer that 20 minutes, but we can not complaint. And I guess because of the weather, I'm finding weird creatures around my home, I found 3 scorpions, I'm not very scared of bugs, but this ones make me jump to the chair, they run so fast and its so hard to see them, their color matches our carpet and the floor. I really don't like this creatures, aren't they ugly??? In my trips to find usable things for my pieces, I went to a thrift store, I was looking for those antique children blocks, and searching on the toys department I found a real Treasure. I saw something green behind a pile of toys, a after I remove all of them I saw that it was a Emerald City of the Wizard of Oz (One of my Favorite Movies). The toy looks complete, but I don't see any of the characters, I taught how nice I would be If I find it with all the pieces, but then I saw that this toy have a lot of compartments and start opened all, and for my surprise, all the characters where inside, my eyes opened of happiness. The only piece missing was the witch (which is my favorite) but I found it on EBay and bought it. Well the most fantastic thing about this story is that the toy is almost new, it have lights that works fine, movable pieces end lots lots of things, even the witch castle have a place where you put the witch and you move a button and the witch disappear and you can see a black spot with a hat liked if she melted. Its sooooo nice, and the best thing is that I just paid $2.00 for it, and after my searching on EBay for the witch, I saw that people are buy this toy for almost $50-$60 dollars, isn't a real treasure?? Check for yourself:








Well I am so happy with my finding. I'm staying late working on a few pieces, I'm working right now on a dolls shrine, its coming out very nice, I will try to post the picture as soon I finish it. I also finished little paintings on wood, I first made them to be magnets, but they came out so nice and they look like miniature paintings, so I decide to place a ribbon on them to display them like miniature paintings.

SUMMER VACATIONS!!

Wow, its been almost a month since my last posting, I want to apologize to all my blog friends that continuously check mine and they find the same things all the time, I'm very sorry, and I know I promise all the time I will post more often, but now that my little one is on her summer vacation its almost impossible for me to spend time on the computer. I feel guilty when she asks me to play with her, maybe because shes our only daughter and I need to be her sister or the brother that she doesn't have, so I try to spend most of my time playing or keeping her active. Lucky me that I found a nice art camp, they will show the kids how to work with clay,and at the end they will glaze our kids creations, well see how it goes, and I will post a picture of my little ones creations. Its going to be a long and busy summer. Yesterday we took her to our local semi-pro baseball game(el paso diablos), she didn't pay attention to the game at all, she just wanted to see all souvenirs and food they were selling, cotton candy, funnel cakes and yummy nachos etc.
Here she is, In action, climbing, jumping. Anyways, when i wasn't too tired ,I stayed up late and finished a new piece, I also experimented with textures on canvas, its a lot of fun, and you can work with it like you decide.

Here is my Frida with Texture.. I Love the results. And here are my other two creations with a nice cracked finish. Hope you like them.

Happy Mothers Day!!!

Happy Mother's Day to all my blog friends!!!! It will be my 5Th Mother's Day Celebration, and enjoy every minute of it. Yesterday my daughter gave me a Beautiful clay pot painted by her at school, soooo cute!!, and a Beautiful card that made my eyes water. It is my first gift from my daughter made it by her in her first year at school, my heart almost explode of emotion, and I start thinking, what else that we need, maybe we want a lot of material things, but those things come and go, they get old and we trow them away, but the memories of our children stays forever in our minds and our hearts. So hope all of you enjoy every minute of Mother's Day celebration!!!
